3 free visits out of the beaten paths in Paris

Of course

visiting Paris for the first time means going to all the biggest and most famous places / monuments, like the Eiffel Tower, arc of triumph, Notre-Dame cathedral etc. But, as your private chauffeurs, we are here to recommend you other places so you can go back home with your head full of beautiful memories.

In addition, what about avoiding the crowd for an afternoon? That would be nice right?

So here are 3 places to visit in Paris that we recommend you to go. And cherry on the cake, it’s free!

1. Victor Hugo’s House.

Located in the area called « le marais » you can see where the author of the famous « Les misérables » lived from 1832 to 1848.

He used to receive other writers like Alexandre Dumas and wrote there the biggest part of « Les misérables ».

This could be a perfect time for you to witness such an old building full of history.

2. Sully’s mansion

A few meters away from Victor Hugo’s house, is Sully’s mansion. It is one of the most beautiful building in the city. Its construction started in 1625 and was achieved in 1630. The building itself is classified historical monument, which gives you an idea of it’s beauty.

3. Carnavalet Museum

Still in the same area you can then walk to the Carnavalet museum, the oldest museum of Paris. Opened in 1880, the museum retrace the history of Paris, from prehistory to the present day. The architecture of the museum offers a history of more than 450 years which unfolds over two private mansions. This is a must See and guess what, this is also free.

Bonus: Glace Bachir

After all these visits you might end up a little bit hungry but it might be too early for dinner. Perfect! You have to try what I consider the best ice cream in Paris.

1 km away from the museum, Glace Bachir will delight you with their homemade Lebanese ice cream. It taste extremely good and the ice cream are kind of big. I mean, the small one is already huge especially if you cover it with pistachios (their signature) and the cream on the top.

It really worth the stop and don’t be afraid if you see a long line. It is never too long as they are well staffed and work fast.
